Boredom can sometimes fuel unhealthy habits like excessive alcohol consumption or overeating. It might lead to mental illness, which might cause a person to take unnecessary risks or be suicidal. This is obviously not always the case. Boredom can also be the mother of creativity and the catalyst for positive change. You could not die from boredom alone, but it could have a hand in increasing your risk of premature death.

Well, since most people die soon after they retire....I would suppose it is more about having a vision. "without vision, the people will perish". Boredom would be lack of vision, or at least lack of discipline to find something worthwhile to do....ok, didn't mean to get so philosophical...

I don't know if you can actually die from boredom but you sure can feel like it.

I don't think so, I know that I have been bored out of my mind so many times that I got a headache and just turned in circles it seems trying to fing something to keep me happy.

dont know but in the game "the sims" you have to keep up your social or you will be on your way to dying
