divided $117 by $6 which will give you 19 and the remainder is 13 children. so $117/$6=19, 32-19=13

let the number of tickets be a and c

a+c = 32
6a+1c=117

from the first equation we get

c=32-a

and sub that in to the second equation

6a+32-a=117
5a=85
a=17

and therefore

a+c=32
17+c=32
c=15
