Ok for the past week the tips of my nipples are really dry. Like when i scrape up against the left one with no clothes on you can tell it is super dry. I have never had this before. Is it poss the change in weather? I havent changed any of my soaps or lotions or detergaunts so what on earth does this mean? And it is just the tips of my nipples. The left one is worse. Please only serious responces.

I have also had this problem on occasions. It finally dawned on me that I on days when I'm cleaning the house I don't always wear a bra, I just bum around all day in sweats! Be careful on what the inside of your shirts textures are because they can definately rub you raw!!!

I had this when I was breast feeding. Have you ever had kids? Because after you have kids your body is always ready to breast feed again at any time and can leak milk. Which would cause chap. If it is really sore you can get nipple cream from baby resources. I believe it was a type of lanolin lotion that I used to help the chap.
If you have never had kids I would think that any discharge you are having that could be chapping your nips could be a hormonal thing. Do you notice and discharge or stains inside your bra? Talk to your doc if you do.

The air in our homes, offices, stores, etc. gets dryer when we are heating in the winter. As you suspect, I would guess this is the reason. I'd get some Neutrogena handcream and put a bit on them, a little goes a long ways. It is the best moisturizer I know of. That being said, if you have any bleeding or discharge it would be wise to call your doctor.

Good Luck.

I have this same problem, so I just put lotion on them. I think it is because of the change in the weather because my skin gets dry in the winter.

Try Olive oil on it for a few days and if it does not improve then you should see your doctor about it. Very dry skin on the nipple can be a sign of Paget's disease;

Yes. It's probably the weather. Use a nice creamy unscented lotion on your nipples (or body oil if you prefer) and they should soften right up.

do they itch? that happens to me sometimes. I have eczema also so sometimes i use my eczema medicine on them. But aquaphor works well. try not to scratch ok? and just to be safe call a dermatologist or your primary care doctor so they can refer you. when ever something is out of the ordinary i suggest checking up on it asap b/c u never know what i could be and what i can be. always better to err on the side of safeness.

Just put your face moisturizer on them. This is common especially if you go braless in winter.
