there is no option other than more education. your options are how you get the education. if you do not have the education then you MUST start at the bottom and have the company train (educate) you. NOW, the problem, if it is a really good company leading to a really good job your competition is, very possibly, going to have a college degree.
the one exception is a menial labor job that is union. that makes it pay really well, but the competition for one of these jobs is really intense, cause the present employees kids have an inside track. also, union jobs are on the decline cause they have priced themselves out of the market. we recently opened a Toyota plant in San Antonio, for 2, 000 jobs there were around 500,000 applicants (and that was for $15+ per hour with great benefits)
bottom line--without more education your best bet is the military/a job without a high paying future/or one of those miracles that get you a good paying job without the education.

You should submit your resume to leading jobsite like www.monster.com, www.careerbuilder.com. Also you should consult local placement consultant in your area. In the meantime, look out for an option to work online. Although it wont pay you like full time job but you can make extra cash in your spare time. I am a part time worker doing work online at home, so I would like to share a link where you can make $600-$1500 in a month working at home. The work need to be done is posting/answering a discussion and uploading any photo/image of your interest. For details visit
http://ommc.blogspot.com
I will publish few more genuine site in couple of weeks, where you can earn money. You may also write to me at talkofmoney@rediffmail.com (Note: When u are planning for a home based online work, be careful because most of them are scam and ask you to pay initial money. never pay money to any such site.)

As long as you know how to cook you can get the job, if you have no experience in cooking but you're eager to learn and hence a fast learner, the manager might consider you. just tell the truth to the hiring manager and everything will be Ok.

Become self-employed! I bought a business for under $200 USD and started earning an income the 2nd day. As long as you are teachable and willing to work, you will be successful.
