You can't see the curvature of the Earth from the beach. You can see the effect of the curvature on ships dropping below the horizon but you can't see the curve itself. The horizon is too close to appear anything but flat.

It was possible to see it from Concorde flying at about 60,000ft. The lower limit would be in the region of 50,000ft.

All you have to do is go to the seashore and look out at the ocean to see the earth's curvature.
