I have been rebuilding the bike with a friend for about a year and a half now and want to bring it back up to stock and better. If anyone has any information i would really appreciate it.

any decent harley dealership should have the manual you need. you want the one covering 1970 to early 1978 flh & fx models.

there is an easier way than running from one harley shop to another and determinig which is a "decent" one. just go online and search for a forum. there should be many forums with people crowded who have the exact same hobby and problem. and there you also can find your answers. or if you just search long enough you will come across the manual in PDF format, somewhere on the net
