I checked the manual and it said it was a problem with the Hydrolic brakes but when I slow down and touch the brakes a certain way the lights go off till the next time I have to apply the brakes. Could this be dangerous or is it because it is so cold and I may have condensation? This is a 92 Acclaim and I do not have
the anti lock brakes.

You have low pressure in one of the master cylinder chambers. This is allowing the sensor to set off the lights. If you do not get it fixed soon, you loose either your rear or front brakes. In the mean time, check to see how low the master cylinder reservoir is. Then add some fluid. Pump the brakes a few times, and you should be OK for short time. But get it looked at right away.
It might be that your brake pads have worn and allowed the master cylinder to become a bit low, but I would not take the chance. Have it looked at and inspected for leaks.

if it is the same light that comes on as in the parking brake light, it may mean you are losing fluid and the pressure differential switch is causing the light to come on. also, could be the emergency brake lever is not set completely off
