Just caught it, and the effects make the movie. Unlike the Originals where Christopher had a presence that was remarkable. Let's face it, he was Superman, as a character and a super man in real life. The movie has very broad religious overtones. I am a Christian, but the connections and connotations were a little disturbing. Kevin Spacey was good.

Superman had a ready audience of comic geeks so it'll do well in DVD sales. Some of the symbolism was overkill but basically, I think the movie would have totally rocked if they had just cast Lois better.

It was okay. It did not make anuff (I can't spell and spell check is lost) money according to the company, so I don't think there will be another.
