Does it make a difference when you replace your windows for your house? Is it cheaper to do in the winter time versus summertime?

Often shady contractors offer "winter" pricing because they aren't professional enough to get word of mouth business. If anything, winter installations should technically cost more. If you are in a colder climate, it is more convenient for you to get the job done when it is warmer out so your house doesn't get cold. However, the sooner you get the windows installed the sooner you can take advantage of energy savings. I personally will install windows any time of the year and at the same price throughout the year. If a reputable contractor is a little slower with his business in the winter, he may be able to get to the job quicker than during the nicer times of the year. Get a few different estimates and get lots of references from your contractor to insure they are reputable.

It costs the same regardless of the time of year.
I just got windows put in December 5th, 2006...it was in the high 30's where i live, and it didnt seem to affect anything.
There might be less demand, so maybe some contractors will offer lower prices.
They send a crew out, and it usually takes 4-8 hrs to do a typical house.
Althought if its snowing or raining out, it might not be a good time to do it.

no cheaper for the windows, might save money on the labor, unless you do it yourself.
