My fiance got me Bare Minerals for Christmas and I absolutely love it. It looks very natural and I have acne prone skin and it covers my occasional breakouts perfectly. Aside from that it also seems to calm my breakouts and it really does feel good to put it on with the silky soft brushes. It feels like you are wearing nothing and it lasts all day. I plan on purchasing more on-line at sephora.com. It's a good deal to start out with a kit and then buy things as you go from there. It was one of my fav. presents he got me this year - and I got alot of nice things. I love it.
As far as it being bad for your skin as someone has posted... I have never heard of anything like that. I plan to look into it and if I get any answers I will post them. Everything you use in one way or another can be bad for you. All makeup probebly has something in it that isn't good. But I do know this is a natural based make up and it doesn't have near the complex ingrediants that other makeups do. I plan to go to a dermatologist soon and I'm interested to hear what he has to say about it. A kit on the website I mentioned will cost you about $60 and last you about 2 months depending on how much coverage you need.
Try it and see if you like it. It will smooth out the appearance of your freckles and it just makes your face glow - I am getting married next year and I plan to use it then. We got pictures a few weeks ago and I had it on - I looked great in them. And I was really broke out. I hope this helps!

Absolutely not, it is a waste of money, and is NOT really mineral makeup. -It contains bismuth which is a form of arsenic and a skin irritant that clogs pores and causes itching -Because of the bismuth Bare Minerals/Bare Escentuals clogs pores, can cause facial rashes, and makes skin itchy -It's cakey -You CANNOT sleep in it like they advertise (so don't try it)

You can get a bare minerals kit with brushes from sephora. It's only like 60 bucks for the whole kit. I like it alot and they have a concelar that you can buy seperate. I haven't tried the concelar though. My friend also uses it and it gets rid of her red skin.

STAY AWAY FROM BARE MINERALS!!! It is so bad for you!
Bare Minerals contains fillers such as bismith oxychloride, methalparaben, and polyparaben.
Just so everyone knows methalparaben which again is found in Bare Minerals has been linked to cancer/breast cancer....
Bismith oxychloride is a by product from lead and copper.

I have used bare minerals and it does feel better to wear than other brands but I wasn't impressed with its coverage and it seemed to settle in my fine lines worse than my old fave. Goodluck

I use it and really like it. It is a very light make up and you can hardly tell you're wearing it.
