It could easily happen, obviously, but I don't think it would be a good idea. The Yankees would do well to invest their money into solid young players. For the kind of salary that Clemens will demand...$15-$20 million, the Yanks could invest in at least 4-5 really solid young players and build up their depth, both in the field and in the bullpen.

Why not come back to the Bronx. He can lead a team with great prospects like Hughes, Sanchez, Butto and Steven Jackson. They are gonna be stacked at Triple-A. Why not come to the Bronx to get a World Series oppurtunity He should retire after this year

Well if the Hot Stove rumors are true, Cashman is actively pursuing him in what is to be said as a "full court press" however, John Henry has also said that the Boston red Sox will be making a push for the Roger as well. Again, its all up to the mercurial Rocket.

If Roger decides to play this year I would say that the Yankees have a inside track at signing him. The Andy Pettite sigining gave us an edge. Roger plays golf with Andy and its a good bet that he'll come to NY if he decides to play. That's a big IF.

No. He should stay put in Houston. He's dragging this out just to get attention from the media is ridiculous.

If I was Boston or New York and he called to confirm I would decline, and tell him we no longer need your services.

Boston and New York have good rotations and would have to sit down a promising pitcher who would miss a year of improving.

He's not worth it at this point.

I see Clemens as a free agent.

I hope so. It would show that the Yankees still haven't learned their lesson. Old guys playing on borrowed time. I hope it happens!

Either you know by now or you don't. At this point he's better off staying in Houston which he will probably do considering he hasn't answered by now.
