Why does it seem that most of the fat people I work with are the office snitches?

Don't hate me for asking......I'm not hating on fat people at all........

It's just a fact that in my office, the ones who are always running around gossiping or snitching on others are fat people.....

Are they bitter, and want to punish others for being at a more healthy weight?

Just doesn't make sense to me..........

Speaking as a fat chick myself:

1. At first I thought this was a troll question, then I looked at your details and decided it isn't. Thanks for your honesty and sensitivity.

2. Sometimes we bigger people feel at a disadvantage when it comes to office or social politics. If someone less qualified gets a promotion instead of us, we tend to feel it's because they're a size 8 and we're a size 20--and often this really is the case.

3. Sometimes we interpret the looks, actions, and behaviors of those at a healthy weight as a slam against us, and we react to that. We feel attacked and defensive.

Hope this helps. I am working on improving all of these defensive behaviors myself.

maybe u r looking into it more than whats really there. i wouldnt really call a person fat just because they eat a bit more or made a wrong choice, plus some ppl just happen to b more on the chunkier side than others and not always by choice.

ive worked where theres been half of each kind of person and ive never seen where the bigger ones were the ones spreading the gossip all that much. i think they were actually more sure of themselves than anyone else was.

gossip occurs when someone is unsure of themselves and wants to b someone big, so they may hear something or see something, and expand on it so others will buy it and they will b happy.

dont listen to the gossip - its nothing more than mean, hurtful, spitefull words that means nothing. and dont spread it either, its just as bad as coming up with it urself

Being overweight often leads to insecurity just as insecurity often leads to being overweight. Being a snitch is one way to establish ones-self amongst the senior staff and to gain recognition and security at the same time as getting one up on the other people. It's probable that these same people have a lower than average intelligence as well - a typical characteristic cluster pattern.

This is a generalisation, not all fat people are snitches or dumb.

No hate for asking. No snitches in my office; it's a small company. One very overweight person in my office is always bringing in food to share with everyone; especially candy and cakes. I guess some people find happiness in food. I stay away from the food and it's probably best to avoid the snitches.

Why does it seem like everyone at the "workplace" is fat period. They break chairs; and you are right, a lot of them are nosy and tattletales. Do you think it might be they are "jealous" cause they are fat.
There is this girl at my work, who is a "supervisor", and everyone hates her. She loves her position cause I think she loves the
control of being a B****. Even people that like her don't like her. I bet if she lost a little weight she would be a lot happier. I can say this cause I have been overweight at a time in my life, so I don't want anyone to think I am being discriminatory. I didn't feel good or look good.
