it could be lack of sleep or to much stress wearing you down. yawning is also caused by lack of oxygen in blood cells. Also if it is stress i found a good cure is running . it helped me sleep at night , boosted my energy level, and boost oxygen levels in the blood.

Have you been bored lately? Have you ever noticed how people start yawning during a long boring lecture?? Yawning is the brains signal for a little extra oxygen, when you yawn, you open your mouth bigger than usual, and take in a long slow breath, which gives you more oxygen, oxygen stimulates the brain. You might want to start the day, taking in a few long slow breaths, see if that helps.

Are you on any meds. Some like Paxil cause excessive yawning. Other than that it is caused by oxygen deprevation to the brain.

Yawningis usually caused by a lack of oxygen to the brain. You probably need to get more sleep. It also helps to get up and move around alot.

My psych prof last semester told me that no one really knows what causes a yawn. There's all kinds of theories (tired, lack of oxygen, etc.), but no one really knows.
And also, yawns are contagious, and no one really knows why.
Not sure how factual this is, but it's what the prof told me, and he's a pretty smart guy.
