Thank you all very much for answering...I forgot to add, I'm 23 and I have been under a lot of stress at work...I'm a teacher and a student of mine was killed in a car accident, he was only 12. Also, a week after that, my grandmother passed away...I hope it's just the factor of stress that is cause my long period...but I will make an appointment to see a doctor soon. Once again...thank you...and may God Bless.

it could be that ur body is getting used to the new activity level of weight training. i would say if ur not taking birth control pills you should go see your gyno just to be safe.

Once my period took 26 days! My period was irregular, but every month I got period. After lots of tests and examinations and... Dr. said that the reason is just stress! And I really was under a lot of pressure at that time and I think it was true!
It may be related to weight training too. Try to adapt yourself to this new experience gradually.

It happened to my grandma and she actually had to get a hysterectomy cause she was hemredging from her periods . this wasn't till after she had kids but she had kids young .Basically she only had one period before she had her first baby so that was the main cause . weight lifting shouldn't be an issue usually when you get physically active like this it actually will make your periods stop . You might want to go t a OBGYN and get checked out .

Go see your doctor fast. You can become anemic from the blood loss. He/she will probably put you on iron supplements..
I had this problem too. The doctor did a biopsy of my uterus to be sure there weren't problems. You may just need hormones.

Go to your doctor ASAP! The same thing happened to me and come to find out it was an ovarian cyst.
