At this point, I give up trying to figure out what the war is about. The reasoning keeps changing (wmd's, regime change, spreading democracy, fighting terrorism, liberating Iraq, etc. etc.).

Meanwhile, where the hell is Osama? You all remember him don't you. He's the one that master minded the plot that killed thousands of our citizens on our own soil.

Likewise, Iraq plunges deeper and deeper into civil war and chaos, which could spread throughout the region causing world war three. I hope, and pray that I'm wrong.

Ha. The war is about Bush being an idiot and trying to follow in his father's footsteps. Ok, ok yes Sadaam was a bad man but if I do recall there's a little something going on in Darfur right now with a lot of bad men. Osama obviously was never in Iraq and Bush KNOWS this... he just wants a war on his hands. If Bush gave a "rats rear" about September 11, maybe he wouldn't be spending 1 billion dollars in Iraq every 4 days and sending 7 times as much troops to Iraq than Afghanistan. Oh and of course... the oil issue... well what do you think? Bush and Cheney's oil company friends don't want to waste their time finding alternative fuel, so they say, "Hey let's invade Iraq and Iran, won't have to waste anytime. We'll just force them out of their oil." So yes, the war is very pointless, and if your a right winger and hate me now I'm sorry...not!

No war is ever about one thing. Saying this war is just about oil is as shallow an assessment as saying that our Civil War was just about slavery.
Yes, the current war is about oil; but it is also about terrorism, wmd's and the spreading plague that is Jihadism as championed by groups like Hamas, Hezbollah and Osama's Al Queada.

If the whole goal was oil it would have been much easier to work with Saddam like the French and Russians were. In fact, Saddam even offered huge oil deals and drilling rights before the shooting started.. and was turned down.

Clearly it isn't about oil.

It's about money, the US Dollar and its value (the more you have, the more value you want):

Getting "bogged down" wasn't part of the plan, of course.
It was making an example of a leader, Saddam, for the purpose of keeping other leaders in the region from switching their oil accounts to the Euro, as Iraq had.
The idea of "democracy" is just a smoke-screen for the banking industry.
We (I use the term losely) instigated the overthrow of the democratically elected (by parliament) Mossadeq government in Iran in 1953 (Eisenhower). He was a popular nationalist who was falsely accused of accommodating communism when he 'nationalized' the oil industry in Iran. We re-established the Shah as the head of state, which brought about the student Islamic revolution of Ayatollah Khomeini and the Hostage Crisis.
This all set the stage for Islamic unrest in the region.

Bin encumbered isn't a Sheikh. interior the religious context, "Sheikh" is a acceptance given to those who have deep expertise in Islam. Bin encumbered has validated that he doesn't have this information. so some distance as i understand, he did not study Islam formally everywhere, in order to be qualified to grant fatwas. Having a lengthy beard and a turban does no longer make one a sheikh. second, there is no "holy warfare" in Islam. it is a Western idea. The "Jihad" in Islam potential "striving" and can want to correctly be striving socially, spiritually, or militarily, yet no longer in uncomplicated words militarily. it really is sparkling that the wrestle of Bin encumbered and his human beings is breaking the rules of Islam so it can not be referred to as Jihad. salaam-peace.

Israeli security. Saddam was a mini hitler to them and he had to be stopped. His WMDs only really threatened them not the US. Saddam rained his scud missiles on Israel & Israel hates that. And their military is/was too small to invade Iraq and get Saddam.
