I want to move into an apartment with a friend but we are not sure about the cost. We wonder if we'd be able to afford it and still have money left over. We are also curious to know how much money we'd have to make in a job to afford it aswell. Also if it'd cost much more for pets, becuase I'm taking my cat with me. We also want to know if we'd have enough to actually eat food and not PB 'n J for every meal; have a car and such. To add on to everything, we'll be in our senior year of highschool. I can graduate early and also leave school early so I might be able to have a longer hour job. We're just curious to see if all our dreaming is a waste of time or if it's actually plausible. . .Thanks.

that depends on where you live, your job/payscale. but hon take some advice finish school and get into college!!! i'm 26 w/ 4kids soon to be 5 of them... and even without them paying for your own place is hard!!! as far as pets go it depends on the landlord and usually they want more on the deposite and maby more on the rent for the pet.

What will it cost you each? Half of the total cost. What will that be? No way to say from here, it depends upon local costs. If you're in Boston it could easily cost you $1,000 each just for rent and utilities. If you're living at home and your car is on your parent's policy you'll need to get your own policy and that will drive your costs up significantly.

But as you are still in High School your first priority needs to be graduating first. Leaving early will desin you to to forever working at Mickey-D's for minimum wage or making beds at a hotel for minimum wage.

Dreams are fine, but use them to plan your future not to escape from the present. Finish High School. Get an advanced education -- technical training or college -- so that you can break free of the minimum wage curse and make something of your life to be proud of.

Depends on where you live. DC area-2 bedrooms can go for 1200-1500 a month!
You also need to provide how much you all are making right now.
I will say that most teens think that it's easier living on their own than it really is.

Go to college and live in student housing.
