My girlfriend definitely has something abnormal inside her belly button. Every time I ask her what it is, she just says"Oh, that's just my umbilical cord." She really believes the stuff inside her belly button is her umbilical cord, but I am not so sure. Since I've known her, I've never seen her wash her belly button, so I really need to know what that stuff inside it really is, and what am I supposed to do about it.

Does it smell funny or something? If not, people have all kinds of belly buttons. They all look different. Maybe hers is just different than what you are used to.

the umbilical cord falls off a week os so after birth... dirt and stuff can inbed itself in your belly button.. I see it all the time at the nursing home.

Take something called a washcloth wet it with water apply soap to the washcloth. Apply the washcloth to the effected area. Use a moderate scrubbing motion, being sure to get into the crevice. Gently rinse the area afterward.

Why would you see her wash inside her belly button? Are you always showering together? Are you just spying on her while she's in the shower? Either way i think you need to stop nit picking and get over it before she walks out on you!

if it is truly dirt get a Q tip and baby oil. whatever it is will come out. If not her parents may have not tooken well care of her belly button. After a baby is born the nurse gives you directions on how to clean it. They may not have tooken care of it.

well when i was really small (dont ask why but i stuck my finger in her belly button) and somthing was inside it... she said it was soap... LMAO I HAVE NO CLUE! my grandma said that your suposed to wash your bellybutton then her and my dad got in a fight about it lol maybe she shouldent stick a bar of soap in her belly button lol

It's up to her as you can't make her do anything. You could always suggest that she gets the advice of a doctor.
