Both were great at football and baseball. Bo was more physical, but Deion went to a Super Bowl and a World Series. Who's better?

With all due respect to Deion, Bo Jackson was the superior two sport athlete.

Deion Sanders was a great cornerback and a great special teams player (one of the best). He had a knack for turnovers, running kicks back for TD's, and playing on winning teams.
His only real shortcoming in football was that he wasn't very physical and he wasn't a great tackler.

As for baseball, Deion did play on some good teams, but he really wasn't that good of a player. Deion's only real strength in baseball was his speed. His power and his ability to hit for average were both lacking, and his fileding was mediocre.

Bo Jackson was a beast at football. He had amazing strength and speed at arguably the most important position, running back. He was a freak of nature who averaged a tremendous yards per carry average. Too bad his career was cut short.

So both Bo and Deion were excellent football players. Where Bo edges out Deion is on the baseball field. Bo could hit for a servicable batting average and very good power. Bo was hitting 30+ homers in the late 80's when this was still an accomplishment (before steroids and so forth). Bo would routinely rip off the amazing.

Bo made a couple of the most amazing plays I've ever seen in both baseball and football.

So while it's true that Deion did play on some better teams, Bo Jackson gets the victory due to his freakish ability and the fact that he was way better in baseball.

Bo Jackson. He was an All-Star in Baseball, Pro-Bowler in Football. Holds records in Football while playing backup for Hall-of-Famer Marcus Allen. Bo still holds the record for most rushing yards on a Monday Night game. And he is famous for the "wall run" against the Orioles, July 11, 1990.

He is the 1985 Heisman Trophy winner.

He was also the 1989 All-Star Game MVP.

Deion had the luxury of not having a career-ending injury. Bo continued to play baseball after the injury and the stats showed.

Deion Sanders was never an all-star in baseball, certainly not the MVP. Though he was an 8-time probowler in 14 seasons in the NFL as one of the most dominate cornerbacks ever.

BO by far. Deion was a terrible baseball player the only thing he had going for him was his speed. The Super bowl and World series mean nothing for Deion as it was the team and not him who made it that far. Individually Bo was definately the better performer.

At their prime, Bo Jackson's talent far exceeded Deion's in a face to face match up. While Deion was immensely talented at football, he wasn't nearly as talented at baseball. Bo had the ability to dominate both sports.
