I would appreciate if people would refrain from using profanities on the Y!A site as it is for the public to share, and to see this kind of language being used ****** pisses me off no end.
So ****** grow up people and heed my ****** words.

Sometimes yes-sometimes no. Depends on the circumstance and the context and at times the location.
If I'm in a 4 star resturaunt or a business meeting and someone drops the "F" bomb all the time, then yes
If I am in the bar with my friends then no...
Cussing in general kind of makes me feel embarrassed for people who do it rather than offending me.
There are of course some cuss words that offend me no matter where they are vocalized- cant name them here obviously- I May OFFEND someone... :)
Anyone else feel this way????

I am not offended necessarily but I don't see the point. In fact, I think it makes a person look none too bright. Plenty of other decent words out there to express yourself. I can see by the previous answers that I'm in the minority, though.

No, not most of the time . There are 1 or 2 words that I really do
not like to hear but what you're gonna do , it just happens and
people swear.

Just not in the company of my Mother or children. Otherwise I am OK with it!
I also like to watch myself around those that are easily offended!

not really...but it depends. In a professional setting I would never like it. I don't cuss unless I am around friends. I won't even swear in front of my parents.

no but there is a place and a time to use it if you need to ...........just poor judgement in certain settings but no I don;t get offended.by others cussing......I have been embarrased by something I have said in the moment and wished I hadn't though....

It bothers me. If I have my kids around me, I'll sometimes say something. If they don't seem like the kind of people who will take out a gun and shoot me.
Sometimes if I just meet someone and they start swearing, I just let them know lightly that I don't like it and find different words to express themselves.

no often times i am the one cussing. but i dont swear around my friends who hate swearing and find it wrong.
i am very respectful of others beliefs.
