I have found many people that don't vote are the biggest complainers. If they are so concerned about who's in office then they need to get off their duff & vote. I, personally, refuse to have a political discussion with anyone who doesn't vote. My feeling is that if you don't care enough to take a few minutes every couple of years to make your wishes known by voting, you clearly don't have any right to complain about the state of the country because the current leadership is (in your opinion) wrong. If it is that big of a concern then you should be out voting.

That's a good question because I've always said if they don't vote, then shut up. If they don't like what is being done, then go and voice their opinion at the polls. Then I don't have a problem with other's opinions.
I do vote every time, it's my right and too many people take advantage of that right. We need to vote to keep socialistic and communistic laws out of our country, or we will lose our choice to vote for whoever we want.
God help us all.

I have not met some of these people. I voted allot the elections ever science 2001. One thing one could learn about this is to really think about who you are voting for.

Yes people tend to be hippocritical and bash whoever is in office even if they voted for that particular person. Someone must have voted for Bush.
I think that people who don't vote have voluntarily given up their basic right to criticize the government and are turning their backs on the very principle of democracy that we cherish and fight for.
However Bush IS and idiot and a dangerous idiot AND people need to be more careful about who they vote for.

I agree. If you don't vote you don't get to complain. I did vote though, and so I get so say that I don't think President Bush is doing a good job.

I vote in every election, national and local.
I don't "bash" Bush - I just point out his many, many failures.
If he does something I agree with, I will say so. I'm still waiting for that day!

The last presidential election was decided by one state which was Florida, by coincidence the brother of George was Govenor of and won it after a recount making it one of the closest elections in history so I think you have your facts confused. Voter apathy is on both sides of the aisle. Conservative Christians are who elected George Bush. Like mindless sheep they voted with whom they were told to by prominent leaders of their religious organiztions. Guys like Ted Haggard.
On November 3, 2006, Ted Haggard, who actually was regarded as a pastor rather than as a televangelist, resigned his leadership of the National Association of Evangelicals and temporarily stepped aside as pastor of his church because of allegations by former prostitute and masseur Mike Jones that Haggard engaged in sex with him for three years and used methamphetamine. Haggard at first claimed he did not know his accuser. He later admitted receiving a massage from Jones but denied having sex with him. He also admitted buying methamphetamine but asserted he never kept it and denied ever using it. On November 4th he was dismissed by the church for "sexually immoral conduct."
Stop following and actually take time to look at the whole picture. About half the country did last Presidential election & alot more did this Congressional election. God did not ordane the Republicans as the chosen party and if your spritual leader spends more time on Politics than he does on the word of God than you should be looking elswhere.

It is vital to vote. People died for your right to vote. It makes me very angry to hear someone say that he didn't bother to vote. It is everyone's duty as a citizen.
