A couple of days ago, I said something hurtful to my girlfriend about something she was insecure about. The comment wasn't meant to hurt her feelings, but she took it that way. I apologized several times for and cried for several hours about it too. But she says that she's unsure if I'll do it again even though I promised her I wouldn't because I already knew how bad I had hurt her. I feel like she can't trust me anymore and it was hard enough in the beginning to gain her trust. The last thing I want to do is to lose it. I dont know what I'm supposed to now. I'm trying to give her space, but I dont want her to feel so negatively towards me. Cause I love her so much. What can I do to make up for it?

you need to let it go. stop dwelling on what has happened. do not do it again. but if you keep pushing the issue that you're sorry, you may push her away. learn from your mistakes and move on.
Remember: Actions speak louder than words. let some time go by and she'll see that you were truly sorry.

The only thing you can do is to show her- OVER TIME- that you won't be so insensitive again.. Try to be more careful.

You have apoligized and are sincere. Nothing more you can do other than let them decide what they want to do.
