There is no master copy of the Bible. It was written over thousands of years, in fact the Old Testament was written as scrolls originally. There was never one book written by one person and called "The Bible".
The oldest version of the Bible we have was complied in 325AD by a council of bishops (The Council of Nicea). The books that did not get chosen to be put in are still available (I bought the Book of Enoch a few years ago in a shop in Harrogate). They are called the Apocrypha.
There are other versions of the Bible such as the Coptic Bible, the Syrian Bible and the Orthodox Bible. They are all of comparable age to the version we use and although there are some variations in content they are mostly the same book.

The closest thing in existence would be the dead sea scrolls. There is no "original manuscript". There are a number of very old manuscripts that were copied by monks from other versions. Many of these are a bit different from the others and what we know of as the Bible today. This is due to the monks tendency towards paraphrasing and editorializing on their own.

The Holy Bible was created from several other religious writings by the Church. There were writings, that used to claim someting agains the Church or the clergy (eg. priests have no more power that any humas etc.)... So these copies were burned. The oroginal version of the bilbe does not exist any more.
For more infor, search for "Judas' bible", or "gnostic". :))

I don't think there is a real version of the BIble. It wasn't written all at once by one person, it was a collection of writings chosen by the early Church to represent their beliefs. For all people know some of the books in the BIble were falsely put in and the true ones left out.

In your head. When you think that there is a real (first ?) version it is in your head. I think the most ancient would be in Greek with Greek Orthodox Church. The Old Testament is in Hebrew. The New Testament was written in Latin for the Catholics in Italy. There is many different translations in English to fit the Christian View, the to fit the Americans view. You have to choose which one you want to read. In my view, any bible is like the newspaper of old times with the views of only one tribe or one country and not taking in account the views of others. You have to make your own research and choose what is the best for you. Good Luck.

The bible is made up of many fragments of ancient documents, not one particular tome containing all 66 books currently accepted as 'the bible'.
An interesting version is Youngs' Literal Translation. You can find it free to access online here:

Religious leaders seem to have been debating this question for centuries.
Wherever or whenever the very first book called the bible was written, it has undoubtedly been changed a great deal in it's many copies and translations, by many different people.

the truth will be hidden by the church, why because if the truth got out the church would fall apart, a lot of the truth is still within the bible, but to find it you have to remove all the man made rubbish that's been put in to control the people telling what to eat, to wear, when they can work, and course how much money they have to give to the church

There is no such thing, no true Bible, just a hotchpotch of older legends, and Egyptian, Greek and Roman fantasy. Not one single word of anything Jesus may have written exists. So they made up a few yarns.
