The ONLY chance that the Republicans have in the 2008 Presidential election is if the Democrats nominate Hillary Clinton to run against them.
Ordinarily, the 2008 election would be the Democrats' to lose...there are going to be a lot of "anybody BUT another Republican" votes cast, I think. But Hillary is such a polarizing and divisive figure that she won't get many of the middle-of-the-road, undecided votes that are usually the key in the election nowadays. If she gets the nomination, the Republicans have a chance...if someone ELSE is the Democratic nominee, it's all over.

This question doesn't make any sense. You obviously need a lesson in elections.
First there will be several democrats and republicans trying to get their party's nomination. We will have a vote in the primary election to determine ONE democrat and ONE republican.
There will never be more than one democrat or republican running at the same time in the GENERAL election.

It all depends on who they put forward. I'm a democrat and would vote for Romney (R) if he ran... so there's one vote that Hilary won't get.
