What happen to you if you are give a sentence and lets say a $25.000 fine. If most of your money has went to lawyer fees how are you suppose to also pay a fine. does the court order you to serve more time?

Yep, they sure do. You either pay or you go to jail and work it off there at the standard prison pay rate for your state...which is about $25 a day.

You pay off the fine by serving more time behind bars. In some states it's $20 per day, in others it's $2 per day.

It depends. If you have property a lien will be placed against it. (car, house, boat) and should you try to sell the property the lien must be satisfied before you can collect your money.

Sometimes you can do payments, or take a loan.

If you don't pay you will be in contempt of court.

Then you go to jail for violation of your probation.
