Nope , they are still trying to lick the nads of the special intrest groups and get their vote in the name of political correctness.

Not at present and the reason why is that people change particularly in their affluence and in this country (UK) the average person is getting richer and richer. The government that gets in is the one that appeals to the majority and the majority are now fairly well off and they want to keep it that way. I feel that local councils have lost their way a long time ago

Since at the last General Election 38.7% of the electorate didn't vote which was more people than the 36% who voted Labour it would seem not.
It is worth going to Yahoo Answers to check the results of the last Election to see what an undemocratic way,'first past the post' is to represent the views of the people.

Voting must be made compulsory. That is the only way forward.
Other countries have compulsory voting, why not us.
