Halo 3 is the third installment in this story arc in the world of Halo, announced at Microsoft's E3 2006 Press Conference via trailer.Recently a few reporters were given restricted access to play a multiplayer test of Halo 3 in the Bungie headquarters. More recently, Microsoft has announced that select members of the Bungie community will get a chance to be part of the Halo 3 Beta, as well as those who purchase specially marked versions of the soon-to-release Crackdown. Both Crackdown and the Halo 3 beta will be released spring 2007.

No official release date has been confirmed except in 2007. Bungie is famous for releasing their games in November in order to achieve the maximum sales from the Holiday season and both Halo games before now have been launched in that month, so it's safe to assume that Halo 3 will launch sometime in November, possibly between the 9th (Halo 2 launch date) and the 25th (Halo 1 launch date.)

Somewhere in fall this year, Halo 3 is going to be released the same date as the the date when PS3 launches in stores.

November of this year saposidly. there is saposed to be a Demo coming out to the xbox live marketplace but you will probably have to buy it
