It is going to be a little bit tricky- because the 10 and 12 year old will be able to do a lot and go on all of the rides, while your five year old will not. We went when my kids were 4, 7, and 9. The four year old could not go on a lot of the rides, and the 9 year old wanted to do a lot that the four and seven year olds could not. It's tough, because we wanted them all to have fun- so we had to do a bit of waiting while the little one rode a kiddie ride, and waiting while the big kids rode the big kid rides. If you've got another adult with you, that would be a big help.

It's really so much fun and you will have a wonderful time! Your little one might get tired with all the walking, so depending on how big he/she is, you might want to bring a stroller or rent one (if they still do that) for when he/she gets tired. Plus, you'll have somewhere to put all your stuff.

There's so much to do- the shows are great, the rides are fun, and of course meeting the Disney characters is priceless. Best wishes for a safe and wonderful trip!

Try not eating inside the parks when you and your kids are hungry. Almost all food at the Disney Parks are Expensive. I think it was like 3 bucks for a bottle of water when I went to Disneyland last year. Have your kids go on Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Splash Mountain, and your oldest kids go on Expedition Everest if you plan on going to the Animal Kingdom Park. Mickey's Philhar Magic seems like a nice show, and have them check out Dream Along With Mickey, a cool new show for 2007.

If you're going over spring break or in the summer, be prepared for long lines to get on rides, etc. The ten and twelve year old might be okay with it . . . the five year old might get a tad fidgety. And keep in mind the five year old will probably not be allowed on a lot of the rides that 10 & 12 will be allowed on. But just chill and have a good time!

Bring lots of money. Avoid places that offer "free Disney tickets". Get your tickets at the gate or at reputable outlet.

Bring comfortable clothes, especially your shoes. Take the day (more than one day is recommended) slowly. Drink lots of water, take lots of breaks. Wear sunscreen, even in the winter. There is no way you can see everything in one visit so set a reasonable pace and enjoy.

Get outside of the theme park area and see some nature! The Gulf Coast is not far away. There are lots of state parks with incredibly beautiful natural springs.

You should try going to Typhoon Lagoon and Wet -N- Wild in Orlando. It depends on where and how long you are going to stay.
I think you should start to the right of Disney and go around the castle. That way you can see every thing. Get a Ticket hopper it lets you visit 4 different parks.

I have to recommend The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2007. I have been to Disneyland and DisneyWorld (twice) using these guides (I have usually checked them out from the local library). They are invaluable and have saved us money and a LOT of time and running around lost.
I also recommend DisneyWorld's Animal Kingdom. We went there on a last minute whim last time and LOVED it. It was an awesome experience, a little less crowded and enjoyable for all ages.
Good luck and have an amazing time!

Plan everything. Get a guide book like The unofficial guide to Disney World. I you plan everthing really well it won't be as difficult as you may think. Also tell you kids that you need to be able to do things sometimes that everyone can do so the five year old doesb't feel left out.

For any rides possible get the fast pass so you won't waste much time , Animal Kingdom is the best out of the four do not miss it , food is expensive bring some snacks along with you , the show in Dinsey/ MGM studios : Fantasmic (or something like that) is really good and lately have fun on your trip! :)

this may sound weird but i do sincerely suggest u get a halter leash for ur 5 yr old. it is so easy to get lost in a crowd. i lost my 5 year old daughter 35 years ago when the world wasn't so cruel and it took 20 min. to find her and i was petrified the whole time. And make sure that everyone holds hands all the time so as not to lose any one.
good luck and have a great time.

Try for the express passes, they do cost more but worth the money, especially with young kids, also strollers, not only for tired kids, but bags etc. go for the rides that will be your first choice first, as the day goes on lines will grow. We live here in Orlando and prepare yourself with comfortable shoes, water, don't worry about looking great, comfort, comfort , comfort.....same for kids. i will try to answer any questions
