I wanted to download more songs onto my iPod but it doesn't seem to turn on. When I put on the adapter to my computer into my iPod, I see an Apple symbol, then I always see a triangle with an exclamation point on it next to a battery saying that there is a battery failure. I've had this problem before, and I'm having it again. Could this possibly be that my iPod is getting old and the wiring is getting worn out?

I've had this iPod (Photo 30GB) for about 2 years now.

Could this be a cause of me downloading from Limewire or some online site?

I have had my iPod for longer than that and I use it everyday 6-8 hours -- it is a 20GB and I haven't had that.
Try taking it to the Apple store and see what they can do for you. Also try going on Apples website and look into purchasing the warranty.

Good Luck!

You might have to replace the battery. Go back to the Mac store and have them diagnose the problem.

It sounds like your battery is dead (ie. will not charge any more). You have to either send it to Apple (do you still have your warranty?) or get a new one.
