Are these c60 bindings too responsive for me on this new vapor since I'm an intermediate?????
I ride groomers freeride only, no park. They are a 10 on the response meter and some said they are stiff and hurt their feet while others told me they liked them and fit the board good. What do you think, any expeience with the c60's??? How is this set up for me maybe? Is this a good interemidate board?

Quite frankly....No, it isn't a very good intermediate board. The Vapor is very "lively" and responsive, coupled with those C60 bindings you've got one of the most responsive combinations available. What I mean by "lively" is that it doesn't take much effort for the terrain or the rider to affect the board. For an expert level rider, this is awesome as you want the board to do what you ask of it the second you ask for it and you want it to give you terrain feedback just as quickly. However, an intermediate rider who may not have the skill base and experience might find it difficult to control or even find it a bit unstable.

Now, I'm not trying to scare you off, this is a great board that you will be able to grow into. In the beginning you need to remember to really drive this board, pay attention to what you're doing and work on your form. Taking an advanced private lesson would actually be a good idea as a high level instructor will help you find all the performance the Vapor is capable of. Seeing as you just dropped near $1500 on your setup I'm guessing the $80 for the private lesson will be easy to accept ;)

Good luck and have fun.

EDIT: as for the "30 day board" comment, that was true of Burton about 6 or 7 years ago. However, it is completely untrue today. Burton's higher end boards are over built and then "broken in" at the factory. This means you get them after they have softened up a bit....boards really only break in once and after that the retain their characteristics for quite some time. This process is called Infinite Ride and only Burton does it. I have had my T6 for 3 years now and I ride really, really hard...it still feels as good as day one. Also, the Vapor is made of a Composite Honeycomb and not wood so it's life span is far greater than a traditional woodcore board.

Responsive is definitely a good thing, the more the better. However a vapor, and you're an intermediate? That's not even close to the right board then. The vapor is really as high end as it gets. This isn't a problem but I'm just going to say that you probably spent a little more than you needed to. That setup should work out fine though.

I think that you're gonna like this setup. There really is no such thing as too responsive. You'll adjust your riding style accordingly, and this setup will help your riding style look smooth and easy because of its responsiveness. In the future, you might want to go with a different manufacturer. Burton has a rep for making a 30 day board. If you ride more than that over the course of a season, the board will start to get way too noodley.

My friend has a Vapor with C60's and I've ridden it before, and they are a pretty nice binding, although it's hard to tell the difference between those, and my Cartel's so whatever.
