My son wants to create a 'screenie' for a website. He asked my permission to use Photobucket...I looked online and couldn't really find out what it was exactly. I told him I needed to find out what it was before I agree to letting him use it. Is it appropriate for a 9 year old boy? Thanks! :)

My son is already doing html codes - he blows me away with the things he's able to do. I sat with him on the Photobucket site and he pretty much talked ~me~ through it, lol. I told him I didn't want him using it unless I was in there with him. And yes - for the person who asked it is for his Neopets account. Thank you everyone!

photo bucket is a website that you upload photos and videos on. once you upload the photo, links are created for it. you can email or post the links to a website.

I'm not exactly sure what a screenie is...but photobucket should be fine for a nine year old...It is a website where you simply upload photos from your computer onto their website, for various uses. Its kind of like an online scrapbook. It is private, I believe unless you give out your own website to others. You can also use it if you need to post the picture online with a URL. As long as you monitor what he is using it for, I think that it would be okay. :]

Photobucket is a popular and SAFE site to use, I just wonder if a nine-year old will understand how to use it, then again, I am beginning to believe that the kids of today know more about this Internet thingie than we oldies do (except for the security and being careful part).
