I dident forget my password, its just system restore wont work, how do you do it when your starting up your computer plz need some help

Insert the windows xp cd into the drive and restart your computer, press F8 or F12 and then boot from your cd drive...it should start there and, it will ask you to install windows xp...after that just follow the instructions...then after you have done installed windows you will need to install drivers for certain things....then go to www.microsoft.com and do all your updates...takes appox. 2hrs to complete from scratch....done it to mine several times......

do you mean there is a password on the bios ?
how old is the pc ? can you get a copy of the system restore disc.
do you have a separate os disc if so boot from that and you can then get more specific help on what options to chose to do a fresh install

Insert the CD into the drive and restart your computer, it should start automatically or you press the button that says boot..either F12/F8 any one of them and then boot from your CD Drive...it should start there and all you do is Format the Drive, it will ask you...after that just follow the instructions...

computer shoulda come with a disc to use to repartition the hard drive, which wipes everything,. You'll need to reinstall all the software, drivers etc.

use the software that came with your pc the cd disc it will ask you if you want to start over again

do you have your windows program? use it,and reprogram the computer.its gonna take a while,but its the only thing i can think off,that will work.
