We are using SAP. Why is there so many ways to do the same thing in SAP? It was alot simpler doing Purchase Orders without SAP and on an actual Purchase Order paper. Why go to something Far more difficult?

SAP is a fully integrated system.
When you raise a purchade order in SAP, it will not only print out a piece of paper, it will also adjust your demand planning, supplier information records etc.
SAP knows how much stock you have in your plant, based on the stock and the daily consumption (by forecast) it proposes to order new material. If you would do it on a piece of paper, SAP won't know that you ordered material and on the next day would propose to order the same amount + consumption from last day again. If you do it in SAP, it will know, that material is already ordered and not propose to do that again.

the more difficult it is, the more you need them to support you, hence the more money they make.
