Why can't keep the songs playing?

With 300MHz and you still ask.

No, You probably have a pII since 300mhz is too small to be a pIII processor. I would look more closely at how much RAM you have and how many things you have on the lower right side of your monitor by the clock. Those things are all using resources- close a few of those items and see if your problem goes away.

I guarantee that you don't. The slowest Pentium III processor was 450MHz. You have a Pentium 2, or an AMD K6-2.

I don't think you have a Pentium lll 300MHz as I believe that would be a Pentium ll.
Right click MY COMPUTER and go to PROPERTIES and you will find out.
The songs question, I have no idea.

You may want to close all the programs you have running in the backaround those that aren't really imortant. Those in the task bar. And if you are using the computer at the same time do not use auto-scroll - that uses too much power and will stall the music.

to tell what your processing speed is right click on the "My Computer" icon and click on properties
then it shows a bunch of info including your processing speed.

probably too slow.. you can upgrade your entire computer for well under a hundred bucks to a one gig. id do that.
