If you think this question throw you may find out how they made the bubble.

You can see from the answers from others that this is inside information and many times miss leading.

First off there are several MLS, and there are many thing not even listed such as new homes, short sales, repose, for sale by owner and the list goes on. this has shorted the market and drove up prices and that in short is how they made the bubble.

As a buyer how could you ever be informed since there is no way you can find out what is for sale??

May be one day soon the housing market will be open fair and honest, there will be mandatory county ran MLS that is publicly assessable. What other so called investment can be sold like this.

You might want to hold out and sve and pass the word. Best of luck

www.Realtor.com has all the same listings that your realtor has available to them nation wide with some exceptions.
1. New homes that are available take some time to get posted on that site so you could be missing out.
2. Once homes are sold it takes a while for them to be removed and you could be getting excited over a home thats no longer available.
3. It doesnt give all the specific information like room dimensions or how much the property taxes are that you may be wanting to know therefore its not as thourough as the MLS data your realtor has available.
Otherwise if you can deal with that lag then it is pretty much the same.
Im curious though as to why youd want to bypass using a Realtor in your search when they can speed up the process for you. And too if the home is in the MLS to begin with, you need a Realtor to make any offer whether you use a separate Realtor or the same Realtor represents you both in that transaction.

If you want specific answers, you need a Realtor. The info you get on Realtor.com is generic at best. Location! Location! Location! Anything outside city limits does not give location. It doesn't cost a dime to get a Realtor to find properties on a daily basis as long as they believe you will eventually buy one.

Go to realtor.com, you can put in where you want, how meny bath, bed, etc.. and it will bring up a bunch of listings along with pictures is there are any. I think you can look up house with the mls# on that site but I am not 100% sure.

You won't have free access to MLS unless someone you know is a realtor and is willing to log you on.
