1. Yes. I play games for fun, not gore or to get out pent up anger.

2. I believe that games/simulations train people how to react in situations. If they are training to do violence then they will react in that manner more quickly if faced with a similar situation. That is one reason why people are trained in the military. That quicker automatic response can save their life.

3. Questionable. It could be contended that this is an outlet for that aggression that isn't harming humans.

4. Yes. The government acts on behalf of society. Society has the right and even the obligation to set standards of behavior among citizens. An example is that society has decided that killing people just because you don't like them isn't acceptable. Society also believes that people have the right not to be endangered by people driving 90mph in a residential area.

In fact, every law is legislating the morality of the lawmakers. We hope that those lawmakers are accurately representing society's wishes, but laws don't always support what lots of people consider to be ethical. In other words it's legal for people to steal your house as long as they use the law to do it, but it isn't necessarily ethical.

That was a long way of saying that government needs to determine if the video games are presenting a danger to society and pass laws accordingly.

1) No, I don't think so because a game doesn't need violence in it for you to have fun with it

2) No, there may be some people who play games so much that that's what they follow, but not enough for it to be an issue

3) Possibly, but not necessarily

4) Yes, of course. If anyone had that much freedom and were able to play any games they wanted, especially for kids, they would feel more mature than they are and feel they can do the things the people on the video games do. Not necessarily violence-wise, but following video games in general.

I'm 14 and I'm a proud Doom 3 and Halo player. I think that as long as the person playing it is mature enough, nothing wrong can come. That's all I have to say.

They're not too violent, but I hate the video games that are about war, and they make it seem like it's all a game.
