I think the most powerful superpower that any comic book writer ever invented is probability manipulation, the power that the Scarlet Witch has. (During Avengers Disassembled last year, we got a good reminder just how powerful that power can be.)
Imagine if you had the ability to drastically change the odds of things happening.
For starters, you could guarantee that your ticket would win the lottery, so you could become fabulously wealthy very easily. (What you do with the money afterward, of course, is up to you and your conscience. Live large, or help the world?)
Start small. Increase the chances that the next person you ask out will say yes. Make someone you dislike trip on the sidewalk and look foolish. Increase the odds that your boss offers you that big promotion.
Think bigger. How about increasing the odds of your mom's cancer treatment working to 1:1? Or better yet, the odds of science finding a cure for cancer.
Bigger. Increase the likelihood of finding Osama bin Laden. Make the launch systems on the entire world's nuclear weapons all fail. Cause computer errors that prevent terrorists from moving money from place to place.
Even bigger. Weather systems are based on probability, too. What if you changed the likelihood of rain in subsaharan Africa? You could reverse the expansion of the desert, and eventually turn that land into fertile farmland... you could help end world hunger.
The possibilities (pardon the pun) are as limitless as your imagination. I definitely think this is the power to have.

just because you're immortal doesn't mean you won't get sick.
for instance you can be sick forever, you just won't die.
and you can still feel pain, you just won'd die from it. So, you can get sick and be in pain, forever.
I would the power to hear what people are thinking. Provided I can chose when I want to.

I would like the power to be invisible AND to read people's minds. So when guys are thinking about stupid and/or gross stuff I could kick 'em in the nuts!
