I've tried a couple.. I guess i'm just not cut out for them. there is a certain assumption when you join that you know how to navigate around the site and how to find people you might have someting in common with. I felt as if I was at a party where I didn't know anyone..... ellie-no-mates in the corner. Maybe I'm just too old!

Ellie Hello.

I used to frequent a chat room (not any more) I think you just have to butt in lol. Chat rooms are strange places, can I recommend you find other places to make friends. I loved going in the chat room and miss the people I used to talk to there. But I don't think they're good for your health.

Not only did I find them bewildering ,I couldn't believe some of the things they were chatting about ! Try going to Age Concern site or similar ,at least they explain things to us oldies without the explicit words ,mind you ,I read things I've never heard of ! I think I've led a very sheltered life !

Hiya, I agree. When you enter some of these sites everyone seems to know everyone else and how do you enter the conversations? I have given up on them now, but I might try myspace.com, have you seen that, there are so many people on there, there must be someone to chat to! If not, we always have answers!

You're not too old! Keep looking, you'll find the site your looking
for. I'm still getting the hang of it myself.
