I dated this girl for a while a couple years ago but we broke up because I went to college. We kept in touch, but now she has transferred to my school and we've been hanging out a lot for about the past month. Now her birthday's coming up and I want to get her something. I really don't care about money, I'd rather give her something but I think it might look weird or like I'm trying to get in her pants when I just want to do something nice for a friend. Should I get her something? If yeah, what?

If she`s your friend, yes you should give her something if you want to. It doesn`t have to be a big thing, or cost alot.. Just something to show her that you appreciate her being a friend.
It`s hard suggesting what you could give her without knowing her... What does she like? Just remember that the thought is what counts.

Good Luck :-)

Well its her birthday, shes your firend, ya you should get her something!!! get her something simple if you get her something big and nice then she will think you want to get in her pants. get her a card that say something like happy birthday FRIEND. but dont make friend in big letters then she will think your weird. get her something like a stuffed animal.
