Ok, this is a term I found when I was looking for IP cloaking, I don't want to download anything from anywhere. I heard maybe I can do it myself, I am running off of Win98 through a home network.

I've never heard the term "roll my own IP address" and I've been working with computer networks for 20 years.

Good luck trying to "cloak" your IP address. If your IP address is hidden, your machine can't communicate on a network.

there are quite a few anonimiser (check spelling) websites out there now which if you go via them will achieve what i think you are looking for. check the spelling and do a search although tbh you might as well download one of the small apps that can do this for you and cut out a step.
