Sex is safe until your water breakes, condomes do add a little to the safety but it is not a real big deal. To be sure ask your ob/gyn.

As you and I can read there are many different opinions and the doctors are the same way. It depends on your due date, complications, etc. but yes it can trigger labour, as well as can cause infection. You should contact your doctor regardless and get checked out loosing the mucus plug can be a sign of labour sometimes NOT ALL!

I wouldn't think so because the mucus plug is meant to keep the baby safe from infection, but you should ask your doctor.

No. The "front door" to the womb is now open, and all kinds of nasty things could get in and harm your baby. If you've lost your plug, labor is right around the corner...if you haven't packed your overnight bag yet, you might wanna get to it.
Most OB/GYNs recommend against sex in the last tri-mester for the health of the baby. I'd say just wait until you've delivered to be on the safe side.

No Ma'am--not even with a condom. Semen is not the issue. Bacteria is. Your mucous plug is there for several reasons. One of them is to keep bacteria away. Have you started leaking fluid? If you think that you have ruptured your bag of waters, you need to go to the doctor. Once you rupture, the baby needs to be delivered within 24 hours--to prevent an intrauterine infection which could be life threatening for the baby.

Yes and no. I lost my plug early, well I sprung a leak, and was on bedrest for a week. During that week I sealed again, sex was ok. Being that you are close to having the child, I would ask my doctor to be sure, but I've heard one way to speed up labor is sex...but I've not confirmed that! ! !

If you have lost your mucus plug, you should be at the hospital, getting ready to give birth. You're not even supposed to bathe if your mucus plug is gone, due to the chance of infection. Baby is coming.
