Just saw a question below about ballerinas' "ugly feet", and I want to set the record straight:
My girlfriend is a ballerina. Okay, her might not be perfect, but who has perfect feet anyway, and feet aren't meant to be perfect. It's enough that her feet are graceful, but I want to add that they're cute too! Yes, she has blisters and red spots all over her feet but that doesn't prevent them from being cute.
So let's dispel the myth. The blisters and bruises are true, but dancers DO NOT have ugly feet! And dancers, there's nothing about the blisters to be ashamed about: if anything, you should be PROUD of them!

Her feet are something to be proud of, I mean blisters, and are quite cute in general. She is somebody to be proud of too, because she is trying to achieve something in her life. You are a nice bf :-) Encourage her to take good care of her feet and to make'em stronger. She will need that.
You know what? Many non-dancers have even uglier feet than dancers do. So what dancers have blisters. Dancers have muscles! It is common for non-dancers to have weak feet, I don't think THAT'S any prettier than blisters and calluses.
Dude, I hope you asked her permission to post the picture, just as general courtesy to her. LOL.

Who's to say what's cute anyways? You could look at something and say "that is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen" while the person next to you thinks it is grotesque. Everything is subjective, and it only matters what you think....who cares what other people say anyways?
And by the way, I think her feet are cute too....even if they are beat up a little. I think that her hard work and dedication make her feet a badge of honor, and how can that NOT be cute?

Have you ever seen an old worn teddy bear with a chocolate ice cream stain on it's mouth? or a ripped and torn blanket from the years it has spent being snuggled with and dragged everywhere? I think those things are beautiful because they have been worn over time with love. Obviously a child has loved the objects so much that it has taken a great toll on the objects themselves. Same thing with pointe. A blistered, callused, bruised, scratched up foot looks beautiful to me, believe it or not, simply because it has been worn over time with the love of dance, and still, in pain they don't give up. If that's not beauty.....i don't know what is.
((and yes, her feet are quite cute! lol ))

Haha awe she does have cute feet, mine look swollen like that after dance class too. I've been on pointe for three years and my feet don't have any bone issues so far, just my knees but that's from forced turn-out which is wrong anyway. I'd say to any thirteen year old who's going to start pointe, not to worry, it's the coolest feeling to be dancing on pointe. The one's who might wanna worry are the amazing 40-something year old dancers who's bones are getting brittle from age. But they know how to treat that stuff anyway.

ballerinas have beautiful feet...sometimes blistered, sore and reddend, but beautiful always...because ballet is beautiful...and your ladie's feet are beautiful...and i'm one to take a dare and say otherwise, but that would not be true.

But they AREN'T ugly! I'm a broken down old ex-ballet dancer and I like the way my feet look. Sure, I've got bunions and I've broken several bones over the years, but they're slender and long-toed and flexible and I can still pick up a pencil with my foot and write my name. At my age (let's just say I'm of Medicare age) I proudly paint my toenails red and wear sandals. Maybe I have a warped sense of beauty?
