I suspect that you mean "What are Cue Cards?"

They are posters that contain the words that peoplle giving a speech or performance use to remind them what to say. If you watch Letterman, they occasionally cut to Tony Mendez who sits near the camera. He is always holding large cards with the monologue written on it.

Do you mean "cue" cards?

Cue cards are like index cards that you can hold while you are giving a speech.

Or cue cards are the big cardboard sheets that someone holds off-camera so the TV actor can see what to say.

I agree with ecolink.

Cue cards allow you to make notes on index cards to help guide you through an essay or speech you need to give.

Or they are cards you hold for others off stage to help them remember lines to a play or any other performance, etc.
