In simple algebra 5xp = 5p.

If you mean 5 times by p then the answer is 5p.

This is the same thing as multiplication.

Think 5 X 3 you end up with 5 lots of 3 which is 15.

So 5 x p means you end up with 5 lots of p, which is written as 5p!

If the x is times then the answer would be 5P as 5 x P = 5P.

or if the the X is a letter it would mean 5 x X x P which means the answer = 5XP

Or if there is number represenations of X and P you would just times each number (as above but by the number rather than letter)

Means nothing on its own. Need to work out the cvalue of x and p first then do the multiplication
