obviously the weather - could be too hot and you get sunburned / hayfever or too cold and you catch a cold. Not to mention getting wet if it rains.

It could be that you live in a city where the air is polluted and all you're breathing in is soot

Another city problem is the traffic so if you're a cyclist or jogger more chance of getting knocked over.

If it's skiing or snowboarding there's a chance of broken limbs - same with BMX'ing and skating. In fact most outdoor sports come with some injury risk

Theres the expense of having to buy all the gear such as for snow sports you need skiis, ski boots, ski socks, ski sunglasses, ski hat, salopettes, gloves, sticks, ski jacket, jumper not to mention paying for ski passes and the flight to get out there.

Much better off staying at home playing tiddlywinks if you ask me....

Nice, very nice, question!

Thinking laterally will give you all the answers that you need!

1. The great outdoors is far too big. It makes you feel small and, therefore, insignificant. Which, in turn, affects your self-confidence.
2. You do not wish to wear out too many shoes. In this respect you're being more environmentally friendly. As the less shoes you have to buy means the less of an impact on the earth's precious resources.
3. You love all living things. By not stepping outside reduces the risk of you inadvertently stepping on a spider - a spider which, it has to be said, has as much of a right to live as you do.

etc...bloody hell...I think I'll use these excuses tomorrow!

There are the obvious ones about the weather which in turn can affect things like the sea. Example, sailing is an outdoor pursuit which if weather was stormy might have to be abandoned because of high waves. There are also not so obvious ones like it is hard for very unfit or disabled people to partake easily in all outdoor pursuits - example, they might need specially adapted equipment.

It depends on the outdoor pursuit, I guess you mean sports. Here are the pros... you get fresh air, activity, see interesting sights, spend time with people who enjoy the same activity.

The cons are that you are subjected to mosquitos, sunburn, dangers from traffic, wild animals and a whole host of bad things lurking out there!

Be careful.
