And how much it costs for a marraige license and what information you need to get one? I don't know if it is the same for all areas but I live in Gratiot County in Michigan. Any input would be great.

WEll, you will need your birth certificate,make sure its a legal one a photo copy won't do.and of course you'll need a blood test.And then call the county seat where you live and find out that ways.I have no idea as states differ.And congrats and good Luck.

I got married in Michigan years ago. It wasn't much at the time. Maybe $30 to get married and $10 for the license. Call and speak with the Clerk of Courts.

My husband and I were married by a friend who received his certification to marry people over the internet. As odd as it may seem, it ws great. We wrote our own ceremony and our own vows that we read to each other. We had the wedding in a special place that I see every day on my way to work. The ceremony consisted of our parents, my daughter, & the photographer. We all dined together afterwards (excluding the photographer) and my husband and I spent the evening in a nice suite in our home town. The next day we had our families and only close friends to our home to celebrate. The proofs to our wedding were available for our guests to see at the reception. We had little stress and our wedding was special. I am glad we did not just go to the court house.

Go to your County Clerk Recorder's office, or whoever manages vital statistics. It should be somewhere in the neighborhood of $50-80 for the marriage license, and probably about that for the marriage commissioner (JP)'s fee. These are very generous estimates...I wouldn't be surprised if it was less.

I really do not know ... I think it may be between 50 and 100 dollars but i am not sure... Go to the local courthouse and find out.

in my state its like $90 for the license but if you agree to take a marriage counseling class,like 4 hours,you get half back.you both have to be present to get it also.if either has been married before youll need to know date divorce was final,also photo id.as for cost to be married i think here they do it for free but most people give them something to say thanks
