I have a Thomson ADSL modem (USB connection). I got a Linksys wrt54gs wireless router and I want to share my internet connection with another PC in the house. Trouble is the router only has lan ports on it so I cant connect the ADSL modem to it. Is there a way around this?

If the computer that has the modem (and wireless router) has dual network cards you could do this. I'm not sure how else you could accomplish it. You would hook both of your network cards to the wireless router, one to the in and one to the out. Then share your modem in network setup and it will work.

I have never heard of a USB to WAN converter, but it might pay to google it. The linksys router you have is state of the art and should work well - it even includes a firewall. Get a new modem.

If your DSL modem doesn't have an Ethernet port, you can't use that router with it. You'll have to get a DSL modem with an Ethernet port so you can connect it to the WAN port on your router.
