Do you just times the number by 8%
then add the answer on to the original number?

First convert 8% to decimal

remove the % sign. Divide 8 by 100

8 / 100 = 0.08

Multiply the number by the decimal

let

50 = the number

50 x 0.08 = 4

50 + 4 = 54
