Though this time shoaib is more effective because of his speed and experience but i will go with Asif, he has better control over the ball, and can better place it. I m sure when asif will get spend few more years, he wil be the best . But shoiab is a great asset for Pakistan this time !

and presently doing Umar Gul
but as far as these two-shoaib and asif are concerned asif seems to be better with marbulous speed , swing in both directions , good line with lots of bounce --enough for a batsman to scratch his head

Shoaib is best with his Pace and also becomes a killer for batsman with his slow ones.
Also his presence in the team also gives a physocligical advantage to Pakistan.

i would go for Asif as he will spearhead the attack.....he has some very nice support...

Shoaib is good but he is not fir enough ...he will have to do the same thing what wasim akram and imran khan did...they reduced their run up to accomodate their fitness and line & lenght and as well as their career.....good luck to him

Both are different type ,but Asif is pure class.Shoaib is pure speed.
