My son (now 7months) LOVES music. Just about any kind you can find, but he surprisingly really likes opera. That, and rock music. I remember my first son(who is now 6) making my brother so proud one day while riding in the car with him. My brother loves Metallica, so of course that's what he listens to in his car. My son(who was around 9 months at the time) began headbanging along with the music.

Most babies love music. Is really good for brain development so it's good that he's reacting so positively to it. My oldest daughter actually started signing to music before she started talking. She was around 6 months when she started mimicking music. So I think that it's great that he likes it so much. Keep play a different variety of music for him.

I don't know about all babies, but I know that if my baby is fussy, I can put on the "LOVE" channel on my Sirius radio, and she calms right down.....
I love music, and listened to it the entire time I was pregnant (while in the car, it was loud enough for her to hear inside, I'm sure)....of course, now that she's outside of me....I have to turn the volume down, but she is a music lover....

It's actually pretty common, babies love rhythm. Personally, I listen to rap/hip hop/r&b/classic rock and both of my children love it, my husband listens to metal and hard rock and the kids also love his music, too! I kept telling my husband not to play any metal around the kids, just melodic rock, and of course he didn't listen to me, he played some metal and the kids both jam out to it, same thing with my rap music. It's just any type of rhythm in general.

Sounds really cute! Babies do like music or they wouldn't make every baby thing with music attached to it.

Yes babies love music and it is especially good for them to be exposed to classical tunes (Mozart, Beethoven, etc) since it is one thing that helps to boost intelligence levels.

I believe it is normal... In the beginning my newborn would cry all the way through his bath until I put on the radio... worked like a charm.
