How can I put more songs in my iTunes library if I bought a new computer?

I bought a new laptop and when I installed iTunes, there are NO songs in my library, but when I click on My iPod, it shows all the songs. I try to drag those songs into the library, but it doesn't work. Someone suggested for me to save all of those songs onto CDs, but that isn't working either. Can anyone help?

**And how do I burn the songs onto a CD? Steps how to, please =)

OK, What you need to do is burn all the songs in your Ipod into a cd...then, remove the CD from the cd-rom drive...play it on a stereo in your house or on your car...then if it plays try putting it on your laptop...then copy it into Itunes...
